About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a one-off 5,800 EUR (£5,000), which will be deducted directly from your tuition fees for the full-time MBA at the University of Edinburgh Business School. An MBA is a Master of Business Administration, a one-year management programme for people who already have professional experience. The award is given to students who enrich the diversity of cultures and perspectives within the class. If you accept the scholarship, the university will ask you to act as an ambassador for the programme from time to time, both during your studies and afterwards.

Eligibility

  • Programme: You have been offered a place on the full-time MBA programme (with or without an exchange option), and you have accepted this offer or intend to accept it.
  • Nationality: You can apply from any country.
  • Grades: You have an excellent academic record.
  • What sets you apart: You bring a background, culture or perspective that enriches the lessons.
  • Not for you if: Your employer is covering all your tuition fees, you already have a full scholarship, you have claimed further financial support from the university, or you applied before your place on the MBA programme was confirmed.

How to apply

Once you have been offered a place on the MBA programme, please apply via the online form on the scholarships page. In 2026, there are three application rounds with deadlines on 27 February, 24 April and 26 June. Decisions will be made approximately one month after the respective deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

Only those who have already been offered a place on this particular MBA programme may apply. You are therefore competing more with other admitted applicants than with the general public. Good grades are crucial, as is a clear, specific example of how you will broaden the class’s perspective. If you apply in an earlier round, you have a better chance of being considered before places are allocated.
