About this grant / loan
What you get
For each year of your postgraduate studies at the University of Plymouth (UK), you will receive a 10% discount on your tuition fees. This is not a monthly grant. Rather, it simply reduces the tuition fees that you would otherwise have to pay. The university offers this grant to its own graduates who are undertaking a full-time postgraduate programme and covering the costs themselves.
Who can apply
- Previous degree: You have already obtained a degree with honours from the University of Plymouth. A certificate or diploma does not count.
- New course: You are enrolling on a full-time or part-time on-campus postgraduate programme in Plymouth for which tuition fees are payable and for which no state student loan is available.
- Who pays: You are funding the course yourself. If a sponsor covers part of your fees, the discount will only apply to the portion that you pay yourself.
- Nationality: You have the fee status ‘Home’ or ‘EU’. Students from countries outside the EU are not eligible to apply.
- Excluded courses: The PGCE teacher training programme, the Master of Architecture and the MSc in Holistic Science are not eligible for funding. The discount also does not apply if you transfer directly from one postgraduate programme to another.
