Family Bursary at Kingston University

You will receive a 10% discount on your tuition fees, and this applies to every year of your studies, not just the first. If two family members are enrolled at Kingston University at the same time, both will receive the 10% discount. Kingston University in London offers this scheme to reward families in which several generations or several family members are studying at the same time.

Who can apply

• Fee status: For the purposes of tuition fees, you are considered an international (foreign) student. Students who are eligible for domestic tuition fees cannot apply.
• University: You are studying at Kingston University.
• Family link: You are a close family member of a current or former student at Kingston University. This includes, for example, a sibling who is currently studying or has previously studied there, a parent who has graduated from Kingston University, or a spouse who is enrolled at Kingston University or has graduated from there.
• Subject and nationality: Applicants from all disciplines and nationalities are eligible to apply, provided they have ‘international student fee’ status.
• No stacking: This 10% discount cannot be combined with other Kingston graduate discounts, loyalty discounts, teacher discounts or university discounts.

How to apply

You can only apply once you have fully enrolled at Kingston University. Log in to the student intranet ‘My Kingston’, go to the ‘International Loyalty Bursaries’ section and submit the online form. There is no fixed application deadline. The university will make the final decision on your eligibility for funding.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a scheme awarded on the basis of academic results or a limited number of places. It is a fixed discount. So, if you have international student status and can prove a genuine, direct family connection to a student at Kingston University, you automatically meet the criteria. The only grounds for exclusion are if you do not qualify as an international student or cannot prove a family connection.
