About this grant / loan

Benefit

You will receive 2,140 EUR for a one-year Master’s programme at University College London (UCL). The funding will run for 12 months and is intended to cover the costs of the ‘Genetics of Human Disease’ (MSc) Master’s programme, a face-to-face course that explores how genetics influences health and disease. The funding is provided by UCL.

Eligibility

  • Your course: You have been offered a place on the Master’s programme in ‘Genetics of Human Diseases’ at UCL, or you have applied for it.
  • Subject: This degree programme is in the field of life sciences, with a focus on molecular genetics, statistical genetics and computational genetics.
  • Where you study: You’re studying at UCL in London.
  • Nationality: You are from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein.
  • Grades: You must hold at least a British bachelor’s degree at Upper Second Class level or an equivalent qualification from another country.

How to apply

Please apply via UCL at the same time as submitting your application for the Master’s programme in ‘Genetics of Human Diseases’. The application deadline is 1 August.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is linked to a Master’s degree programme (MSc) at a specific university and is open exclusively to applicants from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. As a result, the pool of eligible applicants is quite small. If you have secured a place on the course or have a strong application for the programme and meet the grade requirements, your chances are good. Just make sure you apply by 1 August.
