Annie Currie Williamson Scholarship

You will receive about EUR 1,750 (GBP 1,500) per year for three years, meaning that the funding will cover the entire duration of your Bachelor’s degree. A former mathematics graduate of the University of York donates three of these scholarships each year to students with high academic potential.

Who can apply

• Subject: You’re studying mathematics at the University of York.
• Level: You are a bachelor’s student.
• Where you're from: You are a student from the UK (domestic).
• Household income: Your declared household income is between 25,001 GBP and 30,000 GBP. This is the annual income the university uses to assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria.
• Grades: You show great academic potential.

How to apply

There is no separate form. If you meet the criteria, you will automatically be considered. The application deadline for the final round was 23 October.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very narrowly targeted: only mathematics students at the University of York in the UK who fall within a specific income bracket are eligible to apply, meaning that only a small number of applicants are competing for the three places. If you meet these income criteria and have good grades, your chances are good. Please note that applications for this scholarship are not currently open and it may – or may not – be offered again in future years.
