MBA Leadership Scholarships

You will receive about 11,700 EUR (10,000 GBP) off the tuition fees for the full-time MBA at the University of Edinburgh Business School. The amount will be deducted directly from your fees, meaning it reduces the amount you have to pay rather than being paid into your account. The scholarship is awarded to applicants who have already secured a place on the MBA programme and can demonstrate genuine leadership experience.

Who can apply

• Offer in hand: You have already been offered a place (conditional or unconditional) on the full-time MBA programme and have accepted it, or intend to do so. You cannot apply until you have received this offer.
• Work experience: You have at least 7 years’ professional experience.
• Leadership: You can demonstrate extensive leadership experience or clearly recognisable leadership potential.
• Grades: You have an excellent academic record.
• Nationality: Anyone who has a proposal may apply. There are no restrictions regarding nationality or country of origin.
• Not already covered: Your employer does not cover the full cost of your tuition fees, you do not yet have a full scholarship, and you have not accepted any other scholarship from the University of Edinburgh. You may only accept one scholarship from the University of Edinburgh.

How to apply

Once you have received an offer of a place on the MBA programme, please apply via the online form on the scholarships page. For 2026, there are three application rounds with deadlines on 27 February, 24 April and 26 June. You will be notified of the decision approximately one month after the deadline for each round.

How realistic are your chances?

The selection criteria for this award are very strict. You must already have been offered a place on an MBA programme, have at least 7 years’ professional experience and demonstrate proven leadership qualities, meaning that the pool of applicants is far smaller than for open scholarships. If you clearly meet these requirements, please apply as early as possible, as decisions are made on a rolling basis and places are limited.
