The Felicity Green Awards for Journalism

You will receive a full tuition fee waiver for your final year. This means that the University of the Arts London (UAL) will cover your tuition fees for that year in full. The award is named after the journalist Felicity Green and is presented at the London College of Fashion. Two scholarships are awarded each year: one in BA Fashion: Fashion Communication and Promotion and one in MA Fashion: Journalism, meaning one place per degree programme.

Who can apply

• Course: You are studying for a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Fashion: Fashion Communication and Marketing’ or a Master’s degree in ‘Fashion: Journalism’ at the UAL.
• Study stage: You have now reached the final year of your degree.
• Where you study: You’re studying in London at the London College of Fashion.
• Fee status: Priority is given to students from the UK and the EU who have ‘Home/EU’ status.
• Financial need: Priority will be given to students facing financial hardship.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is awarded on a highly selective basis. Only one place is available per degree programme, and you must already be in the final year of one of the two degree programmes mentioned. This keeps the pool of eligible applicants small, meaning that a strong applicant who clearly meets the criteria and can demonstrate a genuine financial need has good prospects. Matching the exact degree programme and stage of study is more important than anything else.
