You will receive 1,150 EUR per year (£1,000) for your studies at University of Greenwich in London. This scholarship is provided by University of Greenwich.

Eligibility

• Military background: You have served in a Gurkha unit of the British Army, or one of your parents has served there.
• University: You’re studying at the University of Greenwich.
• Degree level: You are a student on an undergraduate or postgraduate programme.
• Study mode: You are studying full-time or part-time.
• Fee status: You pay tuition fees at the international rate, i.e. the higher fees that apply to students from abroad.
• Field of study: Any subject taught at Greenwich.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very narrowly defined. You must have a connection to the Gurkha military, be studying at this specific university, and be paying international tuition fees. This keeps the pool of eligible applicants small, meaning that if you meet the criteria, there will be very few others competing for it. There is one catch: Greenwich usually awards only the highest-value scholarship per student, so this one may not be combinable with another scholarship.
