As a PhD student at Keble College, University of Oxford, you receive approximately 1,050 EUR for up to 12 months. The scholarship is awarded by Keble College. It was established by Ian Tucker’s family in his memory. He was an Australian rugby player and postgraduate student at Keble College who died on 1996 following an injury sustained during a match.

• Where you study: You are a PhD student at Keble College, University of Oxford.
• Rugby: You play rugby at a high level.
• Grades: As well as excelling in sport, you’re also doing brilliantly at school.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is presented to very few applicants. You must both be a student at Keble College and play rugby at a high level, which is why very few people apply for it. If you clearly meet both criteria, your chances are good. It appears that the award has not been presented in the last two years, so it may only be awarded when a suitable candidate who plays rugby is found.
