About this scholarship
Bioengineering Department MSc scholarships
You will receive a one-off partial grant towards a Master’s programme at the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London. ‘Partial grant’ means that it covers part of your costs, not the full amount. Only a limited number of these grants are awarded each year. The grant is valid for a one-year full-time MSc programme such as Biomedical Engineering, Engineering for Biomedicine or Human and Biological Robotics.
Who can apply
- Degree level: You are applying for a full-time Master’s degree programme (MSc) in the Department of Bioengineering.
- Field of study: Biomedical engineering, biotechnology or a related field within bioengineering.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, including students from the UK and abroad.
- Grades: You must hold at least a British 2:1 degree (Upper Second Class) in engineering, natural sciences or mathematics. For the ‘Human and Biological Robotics’ programme, a First Class degree is required.
How to apply
You do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. Apply for the programme itself via Imperial College London’s online postgraduate admissions portal. Every complete Master’s application submitted by the deadline will be automatically considered. The department does not conduct interviews for its MSc programmes.
How realistic are your chances?
Every applicant is in the running, so you are competing with all other applicants for the Master’s programme, and the number of scholarships is limited. Selection depends almost entirely on your academic performance. If your grades are well above the entry threshold for a highly sought-after programme at Imperial College, you have a real chance of success. Make sure your complete application is received before the deadline.
