About this scholarship

Kaplan Eurasian Postgraduate Scholarship

For a full-time Master’s programme at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom, you will receive 50% off your annual tuition fees. This is a reduction in tuition fees, not a cash payment, and applies for the entire duration of your studies. You may combine this reduction with other scholarships offered by the University of Sheffield, provided that the combined reductions do not cover 100% of your tuition fees.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting a face-to-face Master’s degree programme, either full-time or part-time.
  • Where you study: The University of Sheffield, on campus. Online and distance learning do not count.
  • Nationality or residence: You are a national of, or have permanent resident status in, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine or Uzbekistan.
  • Fee status: You are considered a foreign (international) student and are funding your studies yourself.
  • Field of study: Any subject other than clinical dentistry.
  • Grades: You have an outstanding academic record.

How to apply

First, apply for a place on your Master’s programme. If you meet the entry requirements, you will then receive an email containing a link to a separate online scholarship application form. The deadline for scholarship applications is 25 April. An academic committee will make its decision based on your academic achievements and a personal statement.

How realistic are your chances?

The admission criteria are strictly defined. Only self-funded international students from Iran or the listed Eurasian countries who enrol on a Master’s programme with lectures in Sheffield are eligible. This keeps the pool of applicants small. If you clearly meet the requirements, apply early and write a compelling personal statement. Your prospects will then be good. Please note that the last confirmed award was made several years ago; you should therefore check whether the scholarship is still available before basing your plans on it.
