What you get

At Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in the UK, you will receive about 1,150 EUR (£1,000) for each year of your degree. This is the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’. The amount will be paid directly into your bank account in two instalments, one in February and one in May. The award is aimed at students who transfer to NTU from Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC), the Kaplan partner college on NTU’s City Campus. You do not need to apply. NTU awards the grant automatically if you meet the academic requirements and will notify you by email at the start of your second semester. A placement year (a year in industry) is not eligible for funding.

Who can apply

• Where you come from: You are currently completing an NTIC course or a Kaplan Digital Pathway course and are transferring to NTU.
• Grades: You will achieve an overall mark of 70% or higher in this course.
• Level of study: This applies to your first degree programme at NTU, whether at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.

How to apply

No application is required. If you achieve a mark of 70% or higher in your NTIC or Pathway course and transfer to NTU, you will receive the award automatically. NTU will contact you by email at the start of your second semester.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is not a competition for a limited number of places. Every NTIC or Kaplan Pathway student who transfers to NTU with an overall mark of 70% or higher will receive it. Your chances therefore depend entirely on your marks. If you are already following the NTIC pathway and achieve this mark, the money is yours without you having to take any further action.
