About this scholarship

Benefit: what you get

You get a one-off payment of about 2,900 EUR (£2,500) for your engineering degree at the University of Nottingham in the UK. This is a single payment, not a monthly grant. Two scholarships were awarded each year, funded jointly by the University and OPC (Oilfield Production Consultants), an oil and gas company. The aim was to encourage students towards a career in the oil and gas industry.

Eligibility

  • Your degree: You study a BEng, MEng or BSc in Engineering at the University of Nottingham, in the Civil, Chemical and Environmental, Electrical and Electronic, or Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing department.
  • Industry placement: You have completed a placement in the oil and gas industry, either a summer placement of at least 10 weeks or a full one-year placement.
  • Study stage: You are returning to your third year (BEng/BSc) or fourth year (MEng) after that placement.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply. UK home students are preferred, but EU and international students can also apply.

How to apply

You submitted your application using the Faculty of Engineering form. The deadline was 30 October.
