About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a grant of 15,000 to 50,000 DKK (about 2,000 to 6,700 EUR) to fund professional development abroad, including travel expenses. This grant is intended for staff members who need to undertake a study visit abroad as part of their work. The grant is administered by the DSEB (Dansk Selskab for Erhverv og Beskaeftigelse, the Danish Society for Economics and Business Administration). The funds come from a trust established by the former senior civil servant P. O. A. Andersen and his wife Sigrid to support young civil servants.

Eligibility

  • Where you work: You work for the Danish Ministry of Finance (Finansministeriet) or the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs (Erhvervsministeriet), mainly in the ministerial departments. Bank officials and people in commerce (for example MBA students) can also apply.
  • Purpose: You need to spend time studying abroad that is relevant to your career and serves as part of your professional development.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Not for: You are not eligible to apply if you are currently undertaking a standard Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme, or if you are going abroad as part of an exchange programme or work placement. Lawyers and engineers are also excluded, as they are not considered to be members of the business community under the Fund’s rules.

How to apply

You apply online through the GrantCompass portal, using the form for further professional training. The deadline is 28 February each year. Grants are announced in April.
