About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a one-off grant for further training, i.e. for courses or training programmes that you undertake alongside your work, but not for a first university degree. The foundation does not disclose the amount of the grant. It was established in 1964 in memory of Jes Peter Christiansen, the long-serving director of the South Jutland High-Voltage Substation in Aabenraa. It supports people working in electricity generation and distribution in the region.

Who can apply

  • Your job: If you are applying, you must be working in electricity generation, electricity distribution or a closely related business area, including roles relating to the energy transition.
  • Where you work: Your workplace is in southern Southern Jutland (Sydsønderjylland) in Denmark.
  • What it funds: You want to pay for further education or professional development, not for an initial degree.
  • Field of study: Any subject is permitted, provided it forms part of a further education programme.
  • Grades: Selection is based on your academic performance.

How to apply

Please apply via EUC Syd, the vocational training centre in Sønderborg. Applications are accepted there twice a year, and candidates are recommended to the Foundation’s Board. The application deadline is 15 October each year, and you can expect a response in November.
