About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a cash grant to cover the costs of your law degree at University of Copenhagen. The exact amount is not specified. The money comes from a fund set up by Eyvind Olrik, a Danish Supreme Court judge, and his wife, Ida Olrik. It is one of several smaller funds that have been grouped together under the joint scholarships (Fælleslegater) of University of Copenhagen, with this fund primarily supporting law students in financial need.

Who can apply

  • University: You’re studying law at the University of Copenhagen.
  • Study level: You are a Master’s student (candidate).
  • Study progress: You have successfully completed the first part of your law degree, namely your Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Financial need: You are finding it difficult to cover your costs.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at the University of Copenhagen.

How to apply

You cannot apply for this scholarship separately. It forms part of the University of Copenhagen’s ‘Joint Scholarships’ scheme; therefore, you should submit a single online application and tick the ‘Fælleslegat’ box. You can only apply whilst the call for applications is open; this will be announced on the university’s intranet (KUnet). The application deadline is 1 November. If you have not received a response by 15 February, your application was unsuccessful.
