What the Irgens-Bergh Artist Scholarship offers

You will receive a grant to support your artistic work in Denmark. The amount and duration of the grant are not made public; you will only find out how much you would receive when you submit your application. The grant is provided by a private foundation established by Theodor Alfred Christian von Irgens-Bergh and his wife Gisela. It supports artists working in the fields of music or the visual arts, including photography.

Who can apply

• Your field: You work as an artist in the field of music or the visual arts, including photography.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Where you work: You can apply, regardless of which organisation you belong to.
• Financial situation: If you’re struggling to make ends meet, that’s an advantage. This is a preference, not a mandatory requirement.
• Older artists: Older artists in need are also welcome to apply.

The deadline is 1 March. The foundation does not publish how it takes applications, so contact it directly before you prepare anything.
