Ágorart scholarship for artistic studies

You will receive 1,000 EUR per month to continue your artistic training abroad, or 800 EUR per month if you are studying in Spain. In addition to the monthly living allowance, the scholarship covers your tuition fees in full up to 4,000 EUR, your return travel costs (upon presentation of receipts) and insurance costs up to 100 EUR in Spain or up to 600 EUR abroad. The funding lasts for up to 12 months. You can extend it up to twice, meaning the funding can last for a total of around 3 years. The funding comes from the Regional Government of Navarre (Comunidad Foral de Navarra), which awards 8 grants annually: 1 for visual arts, 1 for audiovisual arts, 3 for performing arts (theatre and dance) and 3 for music.

Who can apply

• Where you're from: You were born in Navarre or have been registered (empadronamiento) there since before 1 January 2024. You must remain registered for the entire duration of the funding period.
• Age: At the time of publication of this call, you are 30 or younger.
• Qualification: You hold an official qualification in the field of art in which you wish to undertake further training. This may be a university degree, a diploma from a higher arts education programme, a higher or intermediate vocational training qualification, an arts secondary school leaving certificate, or a certificate of completion from the Escuela de Danza de Navarra.
• Field of study: Visual arts, audiovisual arts, performing arts (theatre and dance) or music.
• Language (if you go abroad): You must hold at least a B1 certificate in the national language or in the language in which you will be studying.
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality may apply, provided they meet the birth or residence requirements for Navarre.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted to the Regional Government of Navarre, either online or at its Department of Culture in Pamplona, by 30 April. Following a formal review, a panel of experts will assess your study plan and your portfolio. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a face-to-face interview before the final decision is made.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly: you must be from Navarra, be 30 or under, and hold a qualification in one of four art fields. Only 8 scholarships are given each year, split across those fields, so the applicant pool stays small for each discipline. Your portfolio or audition carries the most weight, so strong work matters more than grades alone. If you clearly fit the criteria and present convincing work, your prospects are solid.
