About this scholarship
What the traineeship gives you
You will receive 1,250 EUR gross per month for 12 months, as well as a one-off grant of 600 EUR per year to cover costs associated with the placement, such as training courses. The placement may be extended once for up to 12 further months, provided that the budget allows for this and your supervisor gives a positive assessment. You will work at the Ministry’s offices in Madrid, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 15:00, and the Ministry will cover your social security contributions. The internships are organised by the Government Delegation for Combating Gender-Based Violence, which is attached to the Spanish Ministry for Equality (Ministerio de Igualdad). The aim is to train professionals to promote equality between women and men and to combat violence against women. Six internship places are offered per call for applications, spread across four areas: law and victim support, equality policy, communication and statistics.

- When you finished: You completed your degree in 2024 or later.

- Employment status: You are unemployed at the start of the work placement.
- No earlier placement: You have not yet completed an internship at the Observatory or elsewhere within the State Secretariat for Gender Equality or its subordinate bodies.

How to apply
You can apply online via the Ministry for Equality’s electronic portal or in writing to the Government Delegation for Combating Gender-Based Violence. You have 15 working days to do so after the vacancy notice has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The five best candidates for each post will be invited to an interview, which will be taken into account in the final ranking.
How realistic are your chances?
Six internship places are awarded per application round: two in the field of law, two in the field of statistics, and one each in the fields of communications and equality policy. The number of applicants is not published.
