About this scholarship
What the Nebrija Excellence Programme gives you
You will receive a discount of up to 50% off your monthly tuition fees on a Bachelor’s degree (Grado) programme at Antonio de Nebrija University in Madrid. The discount applies exclusively to tuition fees, but not to application or enrolment fees. It is valid for one academic year and may be renewed for subsequent years, provided you continue to meet the eligibility criteria. The university awards the scholarship itself to new students with outstanding school grades.
Who can apply
- Level: You are starting a Bachelor’s degree (Grado) at Nebrija as a new student.
- Where you study: You are studying at Nebrija University itself, not at one of its affiliated or partner centres.
- Field of study: Any subject or degree programme.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- Grades: Your average mark is at least 7.5 out of 10 in the first and second years of upper secondary education (Bachillerato) or a higher vocational training programme (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior). If you are transferring from another higher education institution, the average of 7.5 applies to all subjects you have already completed.
- Admission: You have completed the university’s admission procedure.
- Financial need: Your family income is below the threshold set by the university. The level of this threshold depends on how many people live in your household and whether you live within or outside the Madrid region.
- Commitment: You undertake to achieve an average mark of ‘remarkable’ (good) or higher throughout your studies.
How to apply
Once you have been admitted, please email the scholarship application form and your supporting documents to the Admissions Office. If you were admitted before 15 July, please submit your application by 15 July. If you were admitted after this date, please submit your application by 15 September. You will receive a written decision by 24 July or 24 September, respectively, and will then have five working days to accept the scholarship.
How realistic are your chances?
This scholarship is tied to a specific university and combines a clear grade threshold (7.5) with a means test, meaning that the pool of eligible applicants is quite small. If you clearly meet both the academic and income requirements and apply immediately after your admission, your chances are good. Please note that the university makes its decision based on its budget and the number of applicants; applying in the July round therefore gives you an advantage.
