Becas Solidarias UCO-Santander

You get help covering your study costs at the University of Cordoba, split into four programmes. Programme A pays your official tuition fees for the credits you enrol in. Programme B gives up to 400 EUR towards travel between your home town and the university. Programme C gives up to 200 EUR for books, study materials and photocopies. Programme D gives up to 800 EUR towards accommodation if you live at your study location rather than at your parents' home. You can claim either the travel or the accommodation grant, but not both. The University of Cordoba and Banco Santander fund the scheme jointly, with a total pot of 220,000 EUR and around 500 places for the 2025/2026 year.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled in an official bachelor's (Grado) or master's degree at one of the University of Cordoba's own centres.
• Credits: You are enrolled in at least 30 ECTS credits. The exception: you are signing up for all your remaining credits to finish your degree.
• Financial need: Your family income is at or below threshold 3 of the Spanish state general grant. If the state rejected your grant because your income was too high, you cannot apply.
• State grant situation: One of these applies to you. The state general grant was refused for academic reasons; or you were awarded a different type of state grant than the one you want here; or you did not apply for the state grant because you did not meet its academic conditions.
• Grades: In 2024/2025 you passed a minimum share of your enrolled credits: 50% in engineering, architecture and technical studies; 55% in sciences and health sciences; 60% in social sciences, law and humanities. First-year students in 2025/2026 are exempt, unless they transferred from another university.
• Field of study: Any subject taught at the University of Cordoba.

How to apply

Applying takes two steps, and you must do both. First, register on the Santander Open Academy platform. Then submit the official UCO application form (Anexo I) and the responsibility declaration (Anexo II), either at a UCO register office or online through the UCO's electronic office. The application window for 2025/2026 ran from 8 to 19 June 2026. Grants are ranked by family income per person for 2024, with the lowest incomes funded first.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is only for University of Cordoba students who show real financial need and meet the grade thresholds, so the eligible group is limited. Selection turns on income rather than a merit contest. With a 220,000 EUR pot and around 500 places, your prospects are solid if you clearly fit the income and academic conditions, since the lowest family incomes are funded first. Complete both the platform registration and the UCO form, because missing either one gets you excluded.
