Deusto Scholarships (Becas Deusto para Grado)

You will receive a discount of 20% to 40% on your tuition fees worth up to approximately 3,720 EUR, depending on your family’s financial situation. This scholarship is awarded by the University of Deusto. It is a private Jesuit university in Spain with campuses in Bilbao, San Sebastián and Vitoria. The discount applies to the monthly fee for newly enrolled credit points, not to the one-off enrolment fee. It is valid for one academic year, so you will need to reapply each year. You can use a simulator on the university’s website to check in advance whether you meet the eligibility criteria and to get an idea of the approximate amount you might receive.

Who can apply

• Degree: You are currently studying or planning to study a Bachelor’s degree (Grado), a dual degree or a Bachelor’s degree combined with the university’s own qualification at the University of Deusto.
• No previous degree: You do not yet hold an official university degree.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Grades: You have a grade point average of at least 6.0. In the first year, the mark from your entry qualification is taken into account; from the second year onwards, the grade point average from the previous year applies. A higher grade point average (7, 8 or 9) raises the family income thresholds, so good grades are an advantage.
• Credits: You are taking at least 60 credit points. From the second year of study onwards, you must also have passed at least 70% of the credit points you took in the previous year.
• Financial need: Your family income, your assets and any business activities must remain below the annual thresholds. These thresholds depend on the size of your family and your school grades.
• Parallel application: You must also apply for general public funding from the Basque Government (Gobierno Vasco) or the Spanish Ministry of Education within the relevant deadlines.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the University of Deusto between 1 June and 26 July 2026. You may apply before you have officially enrolled. Please ensure you have all the required documents ready, as any missing documents will result in your application being rejected. An initial provisional decision will be made before October.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is open to students of all disciplines and nationalities, but is tied to a specific university and is subject to clear financial and academic criteria. Those who meet both the income thresholds and the academic requirements are eligible. If your grades are significantly above the minimum threshold of 6.0, your income falls within the limits and you submit a complete application by the deadline, your chances are good. The number of scholarships awarded is limited by the annual budget, so it is important to meet all the criteria in full.
