Autonomous University of Madrid - CITIUS Internship Grants

What you get

You will be offered a paid placement with a partner organisation. The remuneration is at least 900 EUR gross per month, plus social security contributions, accident insurance and health insurance. The placement runs for 12 months on a full-time basis, with up to 35 hours per week. In addition to the remuneration, you will obtain a postgraduate qualification: a ‘Máster Propio’ (an in-house Master’s degree) from the Autonomous University of Madrid worth 60 ECTS credits. Of these, 30 are earned through the internship and 30 through online training. A mentor from the company will support you throughout the programme. The programme is run by the Autonomous University of Madrid in collaboration with the ‘Fundación Universidad-Empresa’, a foundation promoting cooperation between the university and the business sector, to help graduates enter the world of work.

Who can apply

• Nationality or residence: You are a Spanish national or hold a valid Spanish residence permit.
• Degree: You hold an official university degree relevant to the advertised positions, or you are in your final year of study and need no more than 60 ECTS credits to graduate.
• Field of study: Any field. The positions will be filled in such a way that your qualifications meet the company’s requirements.
• Timing: You completed your degree no more than 4 years ago.
• Age: You are 30 years old or younger.
• No prior link: You have not worked for the host organisation since completing your degree and have not previously received a similar internship grant.

How to apply

Applications are made online via the talentoteca.es portal and can be submitted at any time of the year. The Fundación Universidad-Empresa selects the candidates who best match a company’s profile, and the company makes the final decision.

How realistic are your chances?

You will not be selected through an open recruitment process. Instead, you will be matched to a specific job vacancy advertised by a company, so your chances depend on how well your degree matches the roles currently on offer. Many partner companies accept applications throughout the year, so well-suited graduates who meet the requirements regarding age and graduation date have genuine opportunities. Around 80% of the participants subsequently find employment, which suggests that companies use this as a genuine recruitment channel.
