Family discount at Francisco de Vitoria University

At Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) in Pozuelo de Alarcón, near Madrid, you can obtain a discount on your monthly tuition instalments. How much you save depends on your family’s income bracket and the number of children you have:

• 5% for a large family in the general category (4 children or fewer).
• 15% for a special-category large family (5 or 6 children).
• 30% to 60% for a family in the special category with 7 children or more.

The discount applies to your monthly payments. It does not reduce either the initial enrolment fee or the deposit required to reserve a place. It cannot be combined with other scholarships, grants or discounts offered by the UFV.

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at UFV or applying for a place there.
• Large family: Your family holds valid official status as a large family (‘familia numerosa’, a Spanish designation for families with several children) issued by a Spanish autonomous community.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Grades (to renew): To retain the discount in subsequent years, you must pass all your UFV examinations, both in the regular examination session and in the resit session.

How to apply

Applications are made online. New students should use the ‘Portal del Candidato’; students already enrolled should use the ‘Portal Universitario’. For the academic year 2026–27, the two application periods ran from 4 May to 30 June and from 10 to 25 July. Applications submitted outside these periods will not be considered. Families with 7 or more children must also submit their 2025 income tax return.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a competitive scholarship, but an automatic discount for anyone who meets the eligibility criteria: you must be studying at UFV and have valid proof that you are a child from a large family. If this applies to you, you will receive the discount provided you submit your application within the specified period. Renewal in subsequent years is conditional solely on you passing all your exams.
