General Description

The Commonwealth Scholarships Commission and the Leeds Metropolitan University offer scholarships to students coming from a country belonging to the British Commonwealth who wish to pursue Master´s degree studies at the Leeds Metropolitan University. A maintenance allowance of £948 (currently about 1190 euro) per month will be awarded for the whole academic year; additional one-off grants of £225 (to cover master´s degree thesis costs) and £200 (to cover travel expenses) are also available.

Requirements

These scholarships are open to prospective students of master´s degree courses at the Leeds Metropolitan University. Applicants must hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level and be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course; they must also be able to confirm in writing that neither they or their families would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study. Candidates must be nationals of a developing country which makes part of the British Commonwealth of Nations.
