Région Bourgogne-Franche-Comté - Stages monde

What Stages monde gives you

You get a monthly grant of 790 EUR to 900 EUR, depending on the country you go to, for a full-time work placement abroad lasting 3 to 5 months. If you have a disability, you receive an extra 150 EUR per month. You also get the status of vocational trainee and a three-way placement contract between you, the host and the region, plus liability and repatriation insurance. On top of that, you can get a discount on a yearly pass for the regional Mobigo train network, meant to encourage train travel over flying. The programme is run by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in France to help young graduates and jobseekers gain work experience and language skills abroad.

Who can apply

• Status: You are a recent graduate or a young jobseeker, and you are not currently enrolled in a degree.
• Age: You are between 18 and 30 years old.
• Where you live: You live in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.
• Jobseeker registration: You register with France Travail, the French employment agency, before your placement starts.
• The placement: It fits your training and career plan, is full time, and takes place at a company, public body, local authority or association abroad.
• Distance rule for neighbouring countries: If you go to a country bordering France, the placement must be more than 150 km from where you live.

How to apply

You can apply all year round. Fill in the application form from the region's website, add a Europass CV (a standard EU CV format), and send both by email.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is cut narrowly. You must live in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, be 18 to 30, and have finished your training, so the eligible group is small and the competition is lighter than for open scholarships. If you clearly meet these conditions and have a concrete placement plan that matches your career goals, your prospects are good. Applications run all year, so there is no fixed rush, but a well-prepared file with a confirmed host makes the strongest case.
