About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a tuition fee discount of 1,000 EUR to 5,000 EUR per academic year. This will be renewed each year until you have completed your Bachelor’s degree. The amount will be deducted from your tuition fee invoice and will not be paid out to you in cash. The funding is provided by the American University of Paris (AUP), a private English-speaking university in Paris, France. The exact amount depends on your profile: your grades, your international background, your language skills and how well you fit in with the university’s international, practice-oriented approach to learning.
Who can apply
- Degree: You are starting a full-time Bachelor’s degree programme at the AUP.
- Field of study: Open to all subjects.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- Financial need: Not required. This grant is based on your profile, not your family’s income.
- Grades: Academic performance plays an important role in the decision-making process. To retain the scholarship, you must study full-time and achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 each year.
- Not eligible: Visiting students and students taking part exclusively in the ‘First Year Abroad’ programme are not eligible.
How to apply
There is no separate application process. If you apply for admission to the AUP, your application will automatically be considered. The decision on whether to award the scholarship will be made at the time of your admission.
How realistic are your chances?
The scholarship is linked to admission to a specific university and does not require a separate application, meaning that every admitted Bachelor’s student is in with a chance. The real hurdle is gaining admission to the AUP in the first place. The amount of the scholarship increases with better grades, language skills and an international background, so a well-suited applicant is likely to receive funding, although the higher amounts are awarded to the strongest candidates.
