Sciences Po Toulouse Social Grant (Aide sociale)

You will receive a one-off payment from Sciences Po Toulouse to cover your study costs. The amount is determined by a points-based system that takes into account your family income, the distance between your parents’ home and the university, and the number of children in your household. It also depends on the total budget available this year and therefore varies from student to student. This is an internal scholarship awarded by the university itself, not a government (CROUS) scholarship. You can receive it in addition to the international mobility grants awarded to you in the 3 and 5 academic years.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at Sciences Po Toulouse and are studying either the ‘Sciences Po Toulouse’ degree programme, a national Master’s programme offered by the university, the LAP (Bachelor’s degree leading to a career) or the CPAG (Preparatory Course for the Grandes Écoles).
• Scholarship status: You do not receive a CROUS grant, or you receive one only at the lowest levels (levels 0 or 0 and below).
• Financial need: Your family quotient (taxable income divided by the number of dependants) is less than 17,000 euros per year, as shown in tax return 2025 based on the income 2024.
• Study format: You must be studying full-time and in person. Further education and distance-learning courses are not permitted.
• Regular student: You are a regular student, not an international exchange student.
• Field of study: Every subject taught at the school.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Applications must be made via the university’s online form, which will be made available in the first week of the academic year. Please submit your documents, including your tax return, by 4 October at 23:59. A committee will review the documents, and the Executive Board will approve the scholarships. Please submit your documents as soon as they are ready, rather than waiting until the deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is very narrowly defined. You must be studying at Sciences Po Toulouse, have an income below the threshold of 17,000 EUR, and must not have previously received a full scholarship from the CROUS, meaning that the pool of eligible applicants is small. If you clearly meet these conditions and apply early with a complete set of documents, your chances are good. However, the final amount will depend on the total budget to be allocated among all eligible students this year.
