About this award / prize

John Busteed Memorial Prize in Economics

You will receive up to 100 EUR and a printed certificate. University College Cork (UCC) awards this prize once a year to the student with the best academic performance in Economics. A separate prize is awarded to the top student in each year group, meaning that several students are honoured each year. It is named after John Busteed, who was Professor of Economics at UCC from 1924 to 1964, and is funded by a memorial fund set up by his friends.
