About this scholarship
What you get
You get non-cash support worth up to 4,000 EUR per year at the top Gold level, or up to 2,500 EUR per year at the lower Academy level (2023/24 figures). Instead of cash, you receive a package of sports services: use of the university's sports facilities, physiotherapy, personal strength and conditioning coaching, nutrition advice, sports psychology support, skill coaching, academic help, and funding towards your athletic development. The scholarship comes from the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) at its Athlone campus in Ireland, which has run it since 1996. Each award lasts 1 year. You can renew it for up to 4 years in total. If you stay on for a higher degree afterwards, you may be considered for more years.
