About this award / prize
LIUC merit prizes for Management Engineering
You will receive a one-off achievement award of 1,500 EUR if you are among the top students on the Master’s programme in Management Engineering at the Università Carlo Cattaneo (LIUC) in Castellanza, Italy. The prizes are funded by the LIUC Alumni Association and other private donors. The number of prizes varies from year to year and is divided between the university’s two faculties (Economics and Engineering), ensuring that at least one prize goes to an engineering student.
Who can apply
- Degree: You study Management Engineering (Ingegneria Gestionale) in the two-year master's programme at LIUC.
- Enrolment: You are enrolled for the current academic year. You do not yet hold a qualification at the same level.
- Grades: You have a weighted average mark of at least 27 out of 30.
- Credits: You have passed enough exam credits for your year of study. Each year's call states the exact number.
- Fees: You have paid your tuition fees and other charges by the deadline.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
- Bonus: Voluntary work at the university will have a positive impact on your application, for example as a teaching assistant, as a mentor for international students, or through your involvement in a LIUC student society.
How to apply
Applications are submitted online via the LIUC student portal, usually from November until the deadline on 7 December. A university committee assesses applicants on the basis of their credit points, grades and documented voluntary work. The results are published on the LIUC website.
How realistic are your chances?
This prize is aimed at a narrow group. You must already study Management Engineering at LIUC and rank among the best, with an average of at least 27 out of 30. That makes for a small field. If you clearly beat the grade and credit thresholds and add certified voluntary work, your prospects are good, since only a handful of prizes are shared each year.
