UNIVPM new-student scholarships

You will receive 2,000 EUR per year to study at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) in Ancona, Italy. This overview covers three separate scholarships. Each scholarship comprises 40 places, with funding of 2,000 EUR per year for students enrolling for the first time on the 2026/2027 degree programmes. Two of these are aimed at first-year Bachelor’s students (one is open to all, the other exclusively to women studying STEM subjects), and one is aimed at first-year Master’s students. The STEM scholarship for women may be extended for the following two years, provided the eligibility criteria continue to be met. UNIVPM also lists a separate, state-administered grant of 3,200 EUR for orphans whose parents were victims of domestic violence or whose mother died as a result of certain violent crimes.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolling at UNIVPM for the first time in the academic year 2026/2027.
• Bachelor route: To be eligible for first-year Bachelor’s degree programmes, you must have completed secondary school with a grade of 80/100 to 100/100 and applied for a degree programme with open entry (i.e. a degree programme for which no entrance examination is required).
• STEM route (women only): The 40 STEM places are reserved for women who enrol on one of the bachelor’s degree programmes listed by UNIVPM in the fields of engineering or natural sciences and can demonstrate a school grade of 80/100 or higher.
• Master route: To be admitted to the first year of a Master’s programme, you must hold a three-year Bachelor’s degree (Laurea Triennale) with a mark of between 90/110 and 110/110 e lode in an open-access Master’s programme.
• Financial situation: You have a valid 2026 ISEE, the Italian document that details your household income and assets.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The key requirement is that you enrol at UNIVPM.

How to apply

Once you have enrolled, apply online via the UNIVPM student portal “Esse3” under the sections “Iniziative” and “Bandi generici”, and select the call for applications for your scholarship there. The three main scholarships run from 15 July to 17 November 2026 (13:00). Selection is based on your application documents (school or final exam grades and ISEE); there is no interview.

How realistic are your chances?

With 40 places per scholarship and clear numerical admission thresholds, your chances depend on how well your grades compare to those of other first-year students, as selection is based on a ranking of eligible applicants. The STEM scholarship exclusively for women has a smaller pool of applicants, meaning that a well-qualified female applicant faces less competition there. You must meet the grade thresholds and hold a valid ISEE. Good school or university results are crucial for moving up the ranking list.
