EDUCatt scholarship at Università Cattolica

You will receive tuition fees waived and cash grant. The amount depends on your income and your living situation. As a rough guide: a student in the lowest income bracket who lives on campus will receive financial support that includes a refund of the regional tuition fee amounting to 130 EUR. You will also receive one free meal per day. If you have been allocated a room, you will pay a reduced rate for the student hall of residence. The grant applies for the entire standard duration of your studies. It is paid by EDUCatt, the organisation that funds the right to study at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and the grant is tax-free.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for 2026/2027 or are currently applying to study there at one of its campuses in Milan, Brescia, Piacenza-Cremona or Rome (not in Bolzano, Campobasso or Potenza).
• Degree level: Admission applies to Bachelor’s, Master’s, single-cycle Master’s, PhD and specialisation programmes. This must be your first degree at this level, and you must not already hold an equivalent or higher qualification.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Italian nationals, EU citizens and students from non-EU countries living in Italy are eligible to take part.
• Enrolment: You must be studying full-time. Part-time students and exchange students are not eligible to apply.
• Financial need: Your ISEE (the official Italian income and asset value) must not exceed 26,887.93 EUR, and your ISPE (the asset component) must not exceed 58,452.06 EUR.
• Grades: You must earn a minimum number of credit points (CFU) each year. First-year students must also pass any compulsory entrance examination (OFA).

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the MyEDUCatt portal by 12 March. There will be no interview. Applicants will be assessed solely on the basis of their ISEE income score and their academic achievements; it is therefore essential that all documents are submitted in full and correctly.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is tied to a specific university and is subject to strict income and credit point thresholds. Either you meet the requirements or you don’t – even before the ranking list is drawn up. There are at least 571 places for first-year students and 1,212 for students in higher semesters, so the pool of applicants is large. If your ISEE score falls within the limits and you meet the academic targets in good time, your chances are good.
