Partial tuition refund for University of Verona staff

If you work at the University of Verona and study there at the same time, you get part of your tuition fees back. For a full degree programme, you are refunded the 2nd and 3rd fee instalments. These are the variable parts left after the fixed 1st instalment of 150 EUR. For single courses (Corsi Singoli, individual teaching units taken outside a full degree), you get 50% of the enrolment fee back, paid only after you pass the exam for that course. The refund lasts for the standard length of your programme plus one year at most. It is funded from a yearly budget. If the budget runs short, everyone's refund is cut proportionally. You cannot combine it with any other fee waiver or refund.

Who can apply

• Your job: You are employed at the University of Verona in a technical or administrative role, either on a permanent or fixed-term contract.
• Your studies: You are enrolled on a Master’s degree programme (Laurea Magistrale) or on individual courses at the University of Verona.
• A higher qualification: You are enrolling for the first time on a degree programme leading to a higher qualification than the one you already hold.
• Study progress: You will earn at least 20 credits (CFU) per year if you are studying full-time, or 12 credits if you are studying part-time.
• Timing: You have exceeded the standard duration of your degree programme by no more than one year.
• Field of study: Open to all disciplines.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

By the end of October each year, please submit a short application form to the Rector of the University of Verona. You should send it from your institutional email address or hand it in at the U.O. Diritto allo Studio office. The form is available via the internal portal ‘MyUnivr’.

How realistic are your chances?

This reimbursement is available exclusively to staff at the University of Verona who are also studying there; consequently, the eligible group is very small and competition is low. If you hold a post at the university, have achieved the required number of credit points and have not yet exceeded the standard duration of your degree programme, your chances are good. The annual budget is fixed; therefore, if a large number of people apply, the amount per person may be reduced.
