About this scholarship
General Description
NHS bursaries are an annual payment to help cover living and other course related costs. They are for health-related courses and are awarded by the National Health Service in the UK. There are two types. The first is a means tested bursary. The amount of this award depends on personal financial circumstances. The other bursary is not means tested. It is worth £1,000.
Requirements
Students must be from the UK to get either bursary. In addition some students from the EEA who meet certain residency requirements may also be successful. The student must also be accepted onto an NHS funded course. This includes courses to become a doctor, dentist, chiropodist, dietician, occupational therapist, orthoptist, physiotherapist, prosthetist, orthotist, radiographer, speech and language therapist, dental hygienist, dental therapist, nurse, midwife, or operating department practitioner.
