What you get

You will receive a 3,000 EUR discount on your tuition fees for one academic year at the Universidad Europea de Valencia in Spain, a private university. The amount will not be paid out to you in cash, but will be deducted from the tuition fees due for that year. The discount applies to Bachelor’s degree programmes (Grados) in all subject areas. You can reapply each year and retain the discount as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria.

Who can apply

• Degree: You are starting a bachelor’s degree (Grado) at the Universidad Europea de Valencia.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades: To qualify for the Bachillerato (Spanish upper secondary education), a minimum average mark of 7.5 is required. To qualify for a Higher Vocational Training Cycle (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior), a minimum average mark of 8 is required.
• Family income: Your household’s annual income must not exceed 100,000 EUR; this must be proven by means of the tax returns of all household members.
• Enrolment: You are enrolling for a full year’s worth of 60 ECTS credits (the standard study load for a full-time degree programme).

How to apply

First, pay your place reservation fee. Then apply via the university’s online scholarship platform using your student email account. First-year students must apply between 16 March and 16 July. Students who are already enrolled at the university should apply between 15 June and 16 July. A committee will review the applications and notify you of its decision by email.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is linked to a private university and has clear eligibility criteria: a grade point average of 7.5 or 8, and a household income of less than 100,000 EUR. If you clearly meet these criteria and enrol at the Valencia campus, your chances are good. Make sure to apply early within the application window, as a second round will only take place if funds remain.
