What you get

You will receive a scholarship of normally at least 5,000 DKK (about 670 EUR), which is tailored to your individual circumstances. The Aalborg-based foundation awards a total of around 206,000 DKK (approximately 27,600 EUR) each year. You may use the money to pursue further studies in Denmark or abroad. A study period should generally last at least 3 months. Smaller amounts are awarded only for a specific research project.

Who can apply

• Field of study: The scholarship is primarily aimed at law students and qualified lawyers, regardless of the field in which they are currently working. Other students at Danish universities may also apply, but will be given lower priority.
• University: You are enrolled at a university or similar institution in Denmark and can provide proof of this.
• Nationality: You are a Danish citizen and are subject to unlimited tax liability in Denmark.
• Financial need: You need the money. A fortune of more than 100,000 DKK (approximately 13,400 EUR) disqualifies you.
• References: Please enclose letters of recommendation with your application.
• Aalborg link: Applicants with links to the municipality of Aalborg will be given priority when the funding is allocated.

How to apply

Download the application form from the fund’s website, print it out and complete all fields by hand. Enclose your supporting documents, including letters of recommendation and a financial plan for your period of study. Send everything by post; applications sent by email will not be accepted. The deadline is 1 June each year, and funding is usually awarded in June.
