About this grant / loan
What the DSC award offered
The DSC Prize was part of the ‘UCL Global Citizenship Programme’ (GCP) at University College London in the United Kingdom. The GCP was a free, non-graded programme run outside the regular degree course, meaning that participants did not have to pay any fees or sit any exams. It brought UCL students together to work on major global issues such as infectious diseases and rapidly growing cities. Students attended talks by experts, worked in interdisciplinary groups, carried out projects with external organisations and produced outputs such as films, posters or business ideas. They also developed practical skills such as negotiation, presentation techniques and campaigning.

- University: He was a student at University College London.
- Level: Open to all Bachelor’s and Master’s students on degree programmes.

How realistic are your chances?
UCL has temporarily suspended the ‘Global Citizenship Programme’ whilst it reviews the programme and plans a new offering. As the DSC Prize was part of the GCP, it will no longer be awarded, and there is as yet no confirmed replacement. You cannot apply at present.
