About this scholarship

Benefit

The Denys Holland Scholarship pays EUR 10,530 (£9,000) per year for up to three years - a total of around EUR 31,590 over a full undergraduate degree. The award renews each year provided your academic progress is satisfactory. Typically only one scholarship is awarded per cycle, so competition is strong.

You can combine this scholarship with other grants or bursaries, as long as your total annual funding does not exceed your tuition fees plus a reasonable living amount as set by UCL.

Eligibility

  • University: You hold an offer of admission to University College London (UCL) for full-time undergraduate study starting in September of the application year.
  • Study level: Undergraduate degree only.
  • Subject: All subjects are eligible.
  • Nationality: All nationalities are welcome, including UK and international students.
  • Financial need: You cannot fund your studies at UCL without outside help.
  • Engagement: You have interests beyond your studies and plan to take an active part in UCL student life and the Students' Union.

How to apply

Download the application form from the UCL scholarships page, complete it with details about your extracurricular activities and financial situation, and submit it by email to the UCL Student Funding Office. The deadline is 21 July. The selection committee meets in late August and notifies successful applicants by mid-October.
