This encompasses the languages, history and cultures of the Arab and Jewish worlds, as well as the wider region of the Middle East and North Africa. The grant may also cover the printing of a manuscript on this subject from the Academy’s own collections. It is awarded once a year by the Royal Academy of Sciences, Literature and Fine Arts of Belgium, which has administered the fund since 1925.
