International Sport Scholarship

UWE Bristol International Sport Scholarship

You get a 30% discount on your tuition fees for every year of your course, plus a support package to help you train and compete while you study. UWE Bristol offers up to 30 of these scholarships, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In return, you compete for the university in student sport events and act as an ambassador for it during and after your studies.

Who can apply

• Study level: You are starting an undergraduate or postgraduate course at UWE Bristol.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply, as long as you count as an international ("overseas") student for fee purposes.
• Sport: You can show real excellence in your sport and are willing to compete for UWE Bristol in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) events.
• Field of study: Any subject qualifies. A few postgraduate courses are excluded from the fee discount, such as the MBA, LPC and MSc Robotics.
• Entry: You meet UWE Bristol's normal entry requirements for your course.
• No double funding: You are not a sponsored student and do not already get another UWE Bristol tuition fee discount.

Register your interest through UWE Bristol's online application form. If you win, you get a written award letter with the full conditions.

How realistic are your chances?

This award targets a narrow group: international students who are genuinely high-performing athletes and ready to compete for the university. With up to 30 places, the field is smaller than for open academic scholarships. If you have a strong competitive record in your sport and meet the entry requirements, your prospects are good.
