Inholland Knowledge Grant

You receive up to 4,500 EUR in total over your studies at Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. The money is paid year by year: 2,500 EUR in your first year, 1,000 EUR in your second, and 1,000 EUR in your third. There is no payment in a fourth year. Each payment reduces the tuition fee that non-EU students pay (9,999 EUR for 2025/2026). The grant runs for up to 3 years in a row. It is merit-based, which means you must earn a full 60 ECTS credits (the standard workload for one study year) in each year to receive that year's amount.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled full time at Inholland University of Applied Sciences, and this is your first enrolment there.
• Nationality: You are not from the EEA, Suriname or Switzerland, and you pay the non-EU tuition fee.
• Field of study: Any full-time degree programme at Inholland qualifies.
• When you started: Your programme began in the 2021/2022 academic year or later.
• Study progress: You earn 60 ECTS credits per year, so you finish each year on schedule. Exemptions do not count.
• Re-enrolment: You enrol again for the following years.

How to apply

You apply after you arrive in the Netherlands and start your studies, through the online form in the Student Self Service portal under "Scholarships". There is no automatic renewal, so you re-apply every year. The deadline for the 2025/2026 grant is 31 August 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This grant is tied to one university and to non-EU students who pay the institutional fee, so the eligible group is clearly defined. The main hurdle is not competition but performance: you must earn all 60 credits each year to keep the money. If you study full time and pass your years on schedule, your prospects are good. Just remember to apply on time every year.
