International Office Scholarships at USW

You get a tuition-fee reduction of up to £1,500 per year (about 1,750 EUR) for a bachelor's degree, or up to £2,000 per year (about 2,350 EUR) for a master's or other postgraduate degree. The reduction applies again every academic year you study. The University of South Wales (USW) in Wales, United Kingdom, offers it to international students who pay for their own studies.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You study at the University of South Wales as an international student.
• Who pays your fees: You pay for your own studies. If a government or a company pays your fees, you cannot get this scholarship.
• Level: You take an undergraduate degree (including top-up degrees) or a postgraduate degree.
• Type of course: Your course is a degree course. English language courses do not count. Placement years do not count either (a year spent working in industry as part of your degree).
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality.

How to apply

You do not send a separate scholarship application. USW considers you automatically when you apply for a course, and confirms the scholarship in your offer letter. To secure it, pay the minimum deposit named in your offer letter by the date stated on your acceptance form.

How realistic are your chances?

This is an automatic award, not a competition. USW considers every self-funding international student on an eligible degree. If you meet the conditions, are not paid for by a government or company, and pay your deposit on time, you can count on it. Students from some regions may instead qualify for USW's larger Chancellors International Development Scholarship, which replaces this one.
