About this scholarship
What you get
You receive a one-off grant of around 6,000 DKK (about 800 EUR) to help pay for your agricultural training. Each year the fund shares a total of 45,000 DKK among several recipients, so the exact amount per person varies. This Danish fund was set up in 1970 in memory of the Rasmussen family of the Nysøgaard farm in Hvalsø. It supports young people training to become farmers.
Who can apply
- Place of birth: You were born on the Danish island of Zealand (Sjælland), which includes Copenhagen and Roskilde.
- What you study: You are training in agriculture, either at an agricultural school (landbrugsskole) or studying agricultural science at university.
- Grades: Your academic results count in the selection.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply, as long as you were born on Zealand and study agriculture.
How to apply
You apply by 1 October each year. You do not need a fixed application form.
