The Odd Fellow Order's Scholarship

You will receive a one-off payment, which is intended to help you cover your living costs whilst studying at University of Copenhagen. There is no fixed amount. This is calculated on an individual basis according to your financial situation and is paid as a one-off sum rather than in monthly instalments. The money comes from the Odd Fellow Order, a Danish fraternity. It is paid out via the university’s joint scholarship programme (fælleslegat), which combines several small funds into a single grant.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Copenhagen. Students from other universities are not eligible to apply.
• Timing: You have at most two years left until you finish your degree.
• Financial need: You need financial support to get through your studies.
• Field of study: Any subject in any faculty is permitted.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are enrolled at the University of Copenhagen.

How to apply

You cannot apply for this scholarship separately. It is awarded exclusively as part of the University’s joint scholarship programme, under which a single online application applies to several funding schemes simultaneously. The call for applications is published on the University’s internal intranet (KUnet, login required), and applications must be submitted online. Paper applications will not be accepted. The annual application deadline is 1 November. If you have not received a response by 15 February, you have not been selected.
