About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a one-off grant to cover your living costs whilst studying at the University of Copenhagen. The money comes from an annual fund totalling approximately 100,000 DKK (about 13,400 EUR), which is divided amongst several students; therefore, the amount you receive will depend on your individual circumstances. The amount is calculated to bridge the gap between the Danish state education grant (SU) and your actual income. If you do not receive SU, you will receive a corresponding amount instead. The grant is awarded by the University of Copenhagen through its Grants Committee (Stipendiebestyrelsen).

Eligibility

  • University: You are enrolled at the University of Copenhagen.
  • Study level: You are a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD student.
  • Field of study: All disciplines and faculties are welcome to apply.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the University of Copenhagen.
  • Financial need: You cannot cover the full cost of your studies on your own.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the University of Copenhagen’s online scholarship portal, but only during the application period. The application period will be announced on the university noticeboard. In your application, you must confirm your enrolment and explain why you require the grant. Successful applicants will be notified directly, usually in mid-September.
