About this scholarship

A.Di.S.U. Suor Orsola Benincasa scholarship

You will receive a grant of at least 422 EUR for 12 months to study at the ‘Suor Orsola Benincasa’ University in Naples, Italy. The exact amount depends on your family income and where you live whilst studying. Students who move away from home to study receive a higher amount than local students or commuters. In addition to the financial support, you may also be offered a place in a hall of residence and meals in the canteen, and your regional and university fees may be reimbursed. The grant is provided by A.Di.S.U. Suor Orsola Benincasa, a public body in the Campania region that funds students’ access to higher education.

Who can apply

  • University: You are enrolled at the ‘Suor Orsola Benincasa’ University in Naples or are about to enrol.
  • Level: You are studying for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, specialisation or PhD (Dottorato di Ricerca) degree.
  • Nationality: Applications are open to people of any nationality, from both EU and non-EU countries, including recognised refugees and stateless persons.
  • Financial need: Your family income is below the specified thresholds. You can prove this by providing an Italian ISEE certificate, an official document detailing your household’s income and assets.
  • Grades: There are no minimum requirements for first-year students. From the second year onwards, you must have earned a minimum number of ECTS credits (the standard credits awarded for passing university courses).

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the A.Di.S.U. student portal. The application deadline is 20 September at 12:00 midday. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of ranking lists, which are drawn up separately for each degree programme and each academic year.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is tied to a specific university and is based on means-tested eligibility criteria. The pool of eligible applicants is small: only students at this university who fall below the income thresholds are eligible. If you are enrolled at Suor Orsola Benincasa, can demonstrate a low family income based on your ISEE and meet the academic requirements, your chances are good. Make sure you have your ISEE to hand in good time, as it is the key document that determines your position in the ranking.
