What Alba offers

The Alba Graduate Business School in Athens reduces your tuition fees through scholarships and financial support for its MBA and MSc programmes. You will receive a percentage discount on your tuition fees; this is not a cash payment. As a guide: most MSc programmes cost 12,500 EUR and Alba’s part-time MBA costs 14,950 EUR, so a discount represents a real financial benefit. The main options are:

• Merit scholarships: 10%, 15% or 20% reduction on tuition fees, depending on the grades you achieved in your previous qualification. Additional merits (work experience, further qualifications, professional certifications, a convincing interview) can increase the total amount by up to 30%.
• GMAT scholarship: 40% for an MBA or MSc programme, provided your GMAT score is 645 or higher.
• Named scholarships: scholarships funded by donors, some of which cover 100% of the tuition fees. Examples: two full scholarships from the Leventis Foundation for the Online MBA, a full scholarship from Seanergy for the ‘Shipping Management’ Master’s programme (worth 12,500 EUR) and a full scholarship from WISTA Hellas for women in the shipping industry.
• Need-based financial aid: Tuition fee reduction for students who cannot afford the fees. It covers tuition fees only; it does not cover living costs or other fees.
• Corporate scholarships: 20% is deactivated when two employees or their children from the same company log in; 30% is deactivated when there are three or more.

Who can apply

• Level: You are applying for an MBA or MSc programme at Alba in Athens and meet the standard entry requirements.
• Field of study: These scholarships are open to all degree programmes at Alba, including Management, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Human Resource Management, Maritime Management and the MBA programmes. Some named scholarships are linked to a specific degree programme (for example, Shipping Management or Finance).
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Depending on their academic background, international applicants may be awarded a partial scholarship of up to 30%.
• Grades: To be eligible for merit-based scholarships, you will need a strong average grade from your previous studies (for example, a UK 2:1 or a US GPA of 3.0 or higher for the MSc; higher minimum requirements apply for higher discounts).
• Financial need: To receive means-tested funding, you must demonstrate a verifiable financial need and submit a tax return in Greece; your income must be sufficient to cover your living costs and part of your tuition fees.
• Exclusion: Students undertaking the ‘Evolving Learners’ certificate are not eligible for needs-based financial support.

How to apply

You can apply for advance approval for merit-based scholarships via an online form even before submitting your official application. GMAT scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, and there is a separate online application process for means-tested funding. The application deadline for most of the scholarships listed is 31 May 2026. The application deadline for the Leventis full scholarships for the MBA is 31. March 2026, whilst the deadline for the WISTA Hellas Prize is 4 September 2026. Alba selects the winners itself, and an interview may be taken into account when awarding merit-based scholarships.

How realistic are your chances?

These are tuition fee discounts, and according to Alba, in one of the last few years more than 85% students received some form of financial support through scholarships. A partial reduction is therefore a realistic prospect if your grades or profile are strong. Named scholarships that cover the full tuition fees are one-off, highly targeted grants (for example, for women in the shipping industry or for a specific Master’s programme) and are far more competitive. Choose a specific, named scholarship, apply well in advance of the deadline and seek preliminary approval based on your academic achievements to secure the best offer.
