About this scholarship
What you get
You get back 50% of your master's tuition fees, up to 1,200 EUR, for one academic year. The University of Alicante (UA) in Spain pays this to students in official master's programmes so that money is not the reason someone drops out. You pay your tuition first. The grant is paid afterwards into the bank account you give.
Who can apply
- Degree level: You are enrolled in an official master's programme at the University of Alicante or one of its affiliated centres. Own-brand or specialisation courses (títulos propios) do not count.
- Course load: You are signed up for at least 48 ECTS credits this year. Credits recognised from earlier study do not count. If you are in your final semester with fewer credits left, you are exempt once.
- Grades: You reach an average of at least 6.5 out of 10 in the year you apply. If your master qualifies you for a regulated engineering or architecture profession, a 1.17 correction factor is applied to your grades.
- Nationality: You are Spanish or a citizen of another EU country. Non-EU applicants qualify under Spain's rules on foreigners' rights and social integration.
- Financial need: Your income and assets stay under the limits set in the Generalitat Valenciana's annual university grant call.
- No higher degree: You do not already hold a degree at the same or a higher level than the one you are studying.
- No double funding: You cannot combine this with another grant for the same purpose, including state, regional or UA bachelor's grants for the same year.
- Priority groups: The grant is aimed especially at students with family caring duties, victims of gender-based violence, and people with a disability or care needs.
How to apply
You apply online through the UACloud portal. For the 2025/26 year the window runs from 10 March to 1 April 2026. Keep the confirmation receipt you get after submitting.
How realistic are your chances?
The budget is a fixed 50,000 EUR. If applications outweigh the budget, places are ranked by a formula combining your grades and your family's per-person income. The grant is limited to UA master's students who meet a clear grade and income threshold, so the field is narrower than for open national grants. If you clearly hit the 6.5 average, stay under the income limits and apply within the window, your prospects are solid, and lower income improves your ranking.
