What you get

You get 1,300 EUR towards your accommodation at the CRUSA Village student residence while you study a master's degree at the University of Alcala (UAH), near Madrid. The money covers a shared double room for up to 10 months in the 2026/2027 academic year, from 15 September 2026 to 15 July 2027. There are 51 grants in total: 20 for students coming through international partnerships and 31 for applicants living in Spain. UAH and Banco Santander fund the grant. If a single room is available, you can take it by paying the price difference directly to the residence.

Who can apply

• Degree level: You hold a bachelor's or an equivalent qualification that lets you enrol in a master's programme.
• What you study: You are admitted to a UAH master's degree for 2026/2027, either on-campus or blended (part in person, part online). Any subject qualifies.
• Where you live: If you live in Spain, your home cannot be in the Community of Madrid or the province of Guadalajara. These are the university's own area.
• Enrolment: You study full time and pay your tuition on time.
• Selection basis: Places go to the best-matched applicants, judged mainly on your grades and how your prior studies fit the master's you want to study.

How to apply

Apply online through the Banco Santander scholarship platform between 19 March and 19 June 2026. You need your UAH master's admission letter and, if you live in Spain, a recent residence certificate. The selection committee meets on 10 July 2026 and tells applicants the result within 15 days.

How realistic are your chances?

The award is cut fairly narrowly: you must be admitted to a UAH master's and, if you live in Spain, come from outside the Madrid and Guadalajara area. With 31 open places spread across different master's programmes, a well-matched applicant with strong grades has solid prospects. Applying early and having your admission letter ready helps.
